Caring beyond the hospital walls – Community Nursing role in Taree/Forster
The Role at a Glance:
- Type: Permanent Part-Time (4 days per week, Tue–Fri)
- Shifts: Daytime only – no nights or weekends
- Location: Taree/Forster and surrounding areas – community-based care with home office flexibility
- Support: Ongoing clinical guidance, peer support, and autonomy to plan your day
- Resources: iPad, laptop, phone, company vehicle + paid travel time
Why Community Nursing?
In this role, you won’t be confined to a ward. Instead, you’ll take your clinical skills into the homes of older Australians — providing hands-on care, education, and support that empowers clients to stay safe, well, and independent in their own environment. Every visit is unique, and every client’s story matters.
What You’ll Do?
- Provide clinical nursing care in the home — wound care, catheter and stoma management, diabetes support, and chronic disease management.
- Complete health assessments and develop personalised care plans.
- Collaborate with GPs, carers, and allied health professionals for truly holistic support.
- Educate clients and families, giving them confidence to manage their health.
What We’re Looking For?
- Current AHPRA registration (Division 1 RN)
- Minimum 1 year Experience in community, aged care, or acute settings
- Strong communication and time management skills
- A passion for person-centred, community-based care
- Valid driver’s licence, Police Check, WWCC, CPR
- Willingness to travel for client care for up to 2 hours
