The role involves leading culturally respectful practices, promoting reconciliation, and embedding cultural awareness into policy and program design.
Key responsibilities include:
* Providing strategic advice and oversight across complex policy areas impacting First Nations communities.
* Developing and implementing policies and programs that support the self-determination and aspirations of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
* Building partnerships and facilitating cooperation across teams and agencies to promote inclusive and respectful workplace practices.
Requirements include Australian Citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a Baseline Vetting (Protected) level security clearance.
Eligible candidates will have strong communication skills, analytical and problem-solving skills, adaptability and resilience, initiative and accountability, and collaboration and teamwork skills.
