Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Audio Visual/Security & Communications Installation Technician to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electronic AV and Security equipment and systems, ensuring optimal performance and client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
* Install, maintain, and repair electronic equipment such as audiovisual systems, communication devices, and security & access control systems.
* Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues to ensure efficient and effective solutions.
* Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance to ensure equipment reliability and safety.
* Collaborate with team members and clients to deliver customised solutions and exceptional service.
* Maintain accurate records of all work performed, including maintenance logs and service reports.
* Install cabling for AV Systems, CCTV Networks, Access Control & Security Systems in various environments including educational facilities, corporate environments, entertainment venues, and high-end residential homes.
* Perform fault finding, installation of cabling pathways, termination, testing & commissioning, and system hardware mounting.
Qualifications and Experience:
* Relevant qualification in electronics or a related field.
* Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Equipment Technician with cabling experience.
* Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing System equipment Faults.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Effective communication skills to interact with clients and team members.
* Eager to learn to read and understand construction plans & wiring diagrams.
* Understanding of information, communication & security technology.
* Current manual driver's licence (desired but not required).
* Construction blue/white card (required).
* Open Cablers Licence (desired but not required).
