Workshop Supervisor Role Summary

As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing all workshop activities, ensuring the efficient maintenance and repair of heavy vehicles, forklifts, compactors, and plant machinery.

* Lead a team with hands-on guidance and effective mentoring to achieve exceptional results in a fast-paced environment.
* Diagnose and repair modern diesel trucks, forklifts, compactors, and plant equipment efficiently, minimizing downtime and maximizing productivity.

Main Responsibilities:

* Directly oversee the internal team and coordinate subcontractors' efforts to ensure seamless collaboration and optimal outcomes.
* Schedule and coordinate maintenance activities to minimize downtime, using expertise and planning to streamline processes.
* Manage procurement and inventory effectively, raise purchase orders, order parts, track stock levels, and oversee administrative tasks to ensure accurate records and compliance documentation.
* Develop and maintain accurate records of fleet logs, maintenance history, and compliance documentation, providing valuable insights for continuous improvement.
* Act as a liaison between suppliers, contractors, logistics, and operations teams, fostering strong relationships and facilitating communication.

Requirements:

* A qualified diesel mechanic with an HR driver's license is mandatory, demonstrating expertise and competence in heavy vehicle operations.
* Proven experience working with heavy vehicles and plant machinery, showcasing adaptability and problem-solving skills under pressure.
* Strong procurement and inventory management skills, with the ability to effectively manage budgets and resources.
* Competency with maintenance management systems and basic IT tools, enabling efficient data analysis and reporting.
* A calm and adaptable approach under pressure, with excellent communication and stakeholder liaison abilities.
* Proven leadership experience managing both employees and subcontractors, with a focus on teamwork and collaboration.
