Job Overview: The Credit Manager will oversee the assessment, management, and collection of outstanding credit and debtor accounts. This role involves assessing customer creditworthiness, managing risk exposure, and ensuring timely debt recovery while maintaining positive client relationships. To succeed in this role, you will have high attention to detail, strong time management skills, and be self-motivated with effective communication skills. Responsibilities: Evaluate customer creditworthiness using financial data and risk assessment tools. Monitor outstanding accounts and ensure timely collections to minimise Bad Debt. Maintaining records regarding client contact history, obtaining information from other departments to ensure records are accurate and complete. Prepare regular reports on credit risk, collections, and outstanding balances. Collaborate with Sales and Finance teams to support customer relationships and resolve issues, account discrepancies. Working with the management team to review accounts, client payments, credit history, and develop new or better client relationships. Requirements: Qualification in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. 3 years of experience in credit management, debt recovery, or related financial roles. Strong knowledge of credit risk analysis, debt collection practices, and financial regulations. Excellent leadership, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel, Xero experience an advantage. High level of accuracy, efficiency, and accountability.
