Our team is small, agile, and passionate about quality. We operate out of a modern office and warehouse facility in Matraville.
The Role We are looking for an experienced Finance Officer / Senior Bookkeeper to take ownership of our internal day-to-day finance function.
You will be the "engine room" of our accounts, working directly with the Managing Director and partnering with our external advisors (BDO) to ensure our financial data is accurate, compliant, and reported to our German Head Office on time.
This is a hands-on, standalone role, ideally suited to a highly skilled professional seeking a stable, long-term commitment close to home.
Key Responsibilities:
* System Management: End-to-end management of AP/AR, General Ledger, and Bank Reconciliations within SAP Business One.
* Payroll: Monthly processing for a team of 7 staff, including Superannuation and PAYG.
* Monthly Reporting: Preparing the monthly financial data pack for our German Head Office (adhering to strict timelines).
* External Liaison: Collaborating with BDO (our external CPA firm) to provide accurate data for BAS lodgements and year-end statutory compliance.
* Process Improvement: Managing the flow of data between Dext and SAP to ensure efficient, paperless record-keeping.
What We Are Looking For:
* Bookkeeping Experience: Proven background in full-function bookkeeping or a similar Finance Officer role is essential.
* Systems Savvy: Experience with SAP Business One is highly regarded, but not essential. We are happy to train a highly skilled bookkeeper who is confident with technology and willing to learn our ERP system.
* Language Skills: Ability to speak German is a distinct advantage (to assist with Head Office communication), but is not essential.
* Communication: Ability to communicate clearly with local staff and international stakeholders.
* Location: Ideally based in the Eastern Suburbs or surrounding areas.
* Availability: Must be available to work on-site 1 to 2 days per week (days are negotiable).
