About the role
Mater Private Hospital Rockhampton currently has an exciting opportunity for an
Endorsed Enrolled Nurse
to join the Operating Complex Unit in a
permanent, part-time (32hrs)
position.
Mater Private Hospital Rockhampton has been supporting the health of people living in and around Rockhampton for more than a century.
Our heritage-listed Kenmore building was purchased by the Sisters of Mercy in **** and opened as the first Mater Hospital in Central Queensland.
Today, our 136-bed facility features five operating theatres, a private emergency service and a wide range of specialised clinical services.
What you'll be doing
As an Endorsed Enrolled Nurse, you will provide patient-centred nursing care under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse on duty.
While displaying the highest level of clinical standards for the unit you will be responsible for:
Achieving optimal patient outcomes throughout the patient journey and continuum of care
Demonstrating exceptional clinical expertise and knowledge of procedures and the management of patients seeking outstanding care
Implementing strategies to ensure that quality and risk management are integrated into service provision
Working collaboratively with the nursing team to provide exceptional care every time
Maintaining current knowledge and skills to ensure continued professional growth
About you

To be successful in this position, you will have the following:
Current AHPRA nursing registration as an Enrolled Nurse (no restrictions)
Prior experience as an Enrolled Nurse in General Surgery or another similar field would be highly desired
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to liaise with a variety of different stakeholders both internally and externally at various levels
Demonstrated ability to operate both in a team environment and autonomously using initiative, sound reasoning and strong listening, negotiation and decision-making skills
Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
Commitment to ensuring the levels of service is delivered to patients at all times
