Global Fashion House is an established and fast-growing women's fashion wholesale company based in Surry Hills. An exciting opportunity exists for a Design Manager/planner to join the company.
We are looking for a Design manager/planning to manage a design and graphic team, collaborating on ranges with sales, production and photography team. Overall see all Global Fashion House brands and maintain strong brand vision. Delegate tasks, and track process for quality and consistency. Collaborate with marketing, sales, and product teams to check designs, ensure they succeed, and ensure messages land appropriately with Global Fashion House customers. Develop and implement successful design strategies by outlining how the design team will create the ranges following market demands. Manage four designers, one graphic designer, and photography team to evaluate individual skills and talent alongside team performance, delivering critical feedback when necessary.
Design manager to encourage team members throughout the process. They collaborate with other teams, marketing and development teams, to ensure the product's looks and presentation are sufficient. Present strategies to upper management and speak to specific numbers and expected outcomes for the products. When finalized, design managers track and collect product feedback by filtering through sales team and brand agents' responses to gain an overall picture of how well the design performs. The design manager needs at least five years of design experience.
What responsibilities:
* Assist in the development and training of the designers/production team.
* Support team to disrupt, improve and evolve ways of working when necessary.
* Establish creative strategy, budgets and schedules for key design ranges.
* Work seamlessly across organizational structures, partnering with marketing, product and sales to develop brand systems.
* Ability to establish department goals and objectives that support the strategic plan.
* Keep a pulse on the culture of product design amongst designers to ensure designers can do their best work.
* Provide reporting on the implementation of ranges while in progress and upon completion.
* Collaborate with product and marketing to educate on and maintain a cohesive brand.
* Solve business challenges with the goal of improving experience for prospects, customers and staff.
* Manage and hire all design / graphics / photography team
