Grinder / Machinist / Fitter & Turner – Afternoon Shift
Location: Pakenham | Brand New Purpose-Built Facility
Hardchrome Engineering Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Grinder / Machinist / Fitter & Turner to join our growing team on a permanent shift roster.
We are specialists in surface engineering and precision hard chrome applications, servicing high-profile manufacturing and heavy engineering industries. This is an excellent opportunity to further develop your skills while working with specialised equipment in a modern, purpose-built facility.
About the Role
Reporting to the Production Supervisor, you will be responsible for precision machining and grinding operations, with a strong focus on quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities
* Operating cylindrical grinding machines with tight tolerance machining
* Minimum 1-2 years of cylindrical grinding experience preferred
* Chrome grinding experience beneficial (training provided if required)
* Reading and following job sheets, drawings and procedures
* Completing required production and quality documentation
* Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
* Working independently and as part of a team to meet production targets
About You
* Trade qualified Fitter & Turner / Machinist (or equivalent experience)
* Strong attention to detail and presentation
* Good planning and organisational skills
* Safety-focused mindset
* Reliable with a strong work ethic
* Able to work permanent afternoon shift
* Australian citizens or permanent residents only
