Job Description
Reporting to the Head of Product Planning, the Senior Product Planner is responsible for developing model strategies, coordinating and implementing all product‐related activities for model launches, and managing the full model life‐cycle plans.
How You'll Make an Impact
* Product Strategy Formulation: Formulate Honda Australia's line‐up, volume and product strategies based on insights from industry trends, competitor pricing, and customer segmentation.
* Product Specification Development: Negotiate with global/regional product‐development stakeholders on specifications and cost, perform profit‐break‐down calculations, and present pricing strategies to board members.
* Go To Market (GTM) Process: Coordinate the GTM process for model launches (YMC, MMC & FMC), develop and share key model strategy, manage GTM milestone events, and oversee marketing activities including research, spec check, publication, event cars, and promotional materials.
* Product Lifecycle Management (PLC): Maintain strong product portfolios by proposing limited editions, building strategies to minimise sales decay, maintaining efficient model and colour line‐ups, and implementing an effective GTM process.
What You'll Bring
* Degree in Business, Marketing or a similar field.
* Strong analytical skills with the ability to elicit insights from large amounts of data.
* High level of accuracy & attention to detail.
* Good problem‐solving skills with the ability to identify core issues and formulate constructive countermeasures.
* Ability to develop proposals based on insights and deliver them to stakeholders effectively.
* Excellent communication skills for relationship management with internal & external stakeholders.
* Strong time‐management skills and the ability to coordinate conflicting priorities.
* Dedication to deliver high‐quality output and adhere to commitments.
* Some project‐management experience preferred.
* Advanced skill level of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word preferred.
* Experience in product planning or finance is ideal but not mandatory.
