Key Responsibilities
* Publicity and Media Relations - Leverage your deep network of media, publishers, and influencers. From issuing media alerts to crafting go‐to‐market PR strategies, you will pitch stories, secure top‐tier coverage – you know how to build buzz without always needing talent to do it.
* Talent Management – Build fast, trusted relationships with high‐profile to emerging talent directly, as well as via their agents and publicists. You will manage logistics for press days, media appearances, content shoots, and red carpets, ensuring talent is well‐briefed and utilised effectively to promote our programming.
* Managing Distribution and Studio Partners – handling day‐to‐day PR activities with our major international distribution and studio partners (e.g., NBCU, Sony). This includes managing BAU media releases, screeners, interview requests, and international junket nominations for allocated titles.
* Production Support and Event Management – lead local productions, coordinating editorial shoots, pitching press junkets, managing red carpet events, and managing logistics for major launches.
* Earned‐First Storytelling and Strategy – Push creative boundaries by mapping multi‐channel PR plans. You will develop briefs for our agency partners and review thinking that drives the most impact for our announcements.
About your experience
* 5+ years Publicity and Communications experience – Proven experience within the Australian landscape, consistently pushing boundaries. Media, Entertainment, TV, or Agency experience is highly desirable.
* Storytelling and Editorial Expertise – You consume and engage with media and culture daily. You have excellent writing skills (press releases, media strategies) and the ability to pitch to outlets autonomously.
* Integrated Communications Expertise – Experience executing everything from earned media to owned channels, up to large‐scale, 360‐degree marketing campaigns.
* Publicity and Talent Experience – You understand how to navigate the complex world of publicity, from managing talent and schedules to interviews and international junkets, balancing confidence with humility.
* Exceptional Attention to Detail and Organisation – You can juggle multiple balls and ensure no stone is left unturned, especially regarding talent and media logistics. You are highly accountable, self‐motivated, and possess the integrity to work autonomously across multiple teams.
* Project Management Skills – Proven ability to manage PR campaigns and projects from end‐to‐end.
* A Bachelor degree in Journalism, PR, Communications, or a related field.
