Project Overview
The Project includes the design, procurement, installation, and commissioning of 3 new bucket‐wheel reclaimers and associated structural, mechanical, electrical and communications services. It also covers the design and construction of off‐board scope including bulk earthworks, civil infrastructure, structural works and electrical upgrades to support safe operation of the new reclaimers.
Job Summary
As Handover Manager the candidate will report to the Site Manager and oversee project‐wide turnover and completion programs and handover documentation for the project. The role provides technical and handover guidance to construction and commissioning teams regarding documentation and deliverable requirements, and develops handover strategies for assets and infrastructure in conjunction with those teams.
Major Responsibilities
* Ensure early planning and execution for turnover/handover activities from contractors.
* Interface with Project Controls and Engineering on project coding.
* Determine handover requirements with customers and contractors, creating, structuring and executing a program that supports documentation and asset handover.
* Ensure correct handover requirements are identified and aligned with existing contracts.
* Review, provide input, monitor progress and oversee contractor's completion and handover management plan.
* Ensure contractor's handover documentation meets contract requirements and project targets, and is consistent across the project.
* Engage contractor construction and commissioning teams to focus on work areas supporting the completions effort, including clearance of punch list items and submission of completion documents; drive turnover and punch list meetings.
* Ensure contractors adhere to their contract obligations.
* Develop reporting materials using tools such as PowerBI dashboard, CCMS, construction documentation, construction programs, etc., to provide program‐wide management level reporting of handover status.
* Liaise with contractor's construction and commissioning teams to ensure an effective punch list process that complements the overall completion effort.
* Oversee and conduct quality assurance reviews of contractor certification packages.
* Manage complex organizational interactions that evolve from the participation of several functional teams or customer‐established relationships.
Education And Experience Requirements
Requires a bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 10–13 years of relevant experience or 14–17 years of relevant work experience.
Required Knowledge And Skills
* Effective oral and written communication with other project functional groups.
* Proven ability to build strong relationships with customers and team members.
* Demonstrated experience in project handover and completions processes for major resource or infrastructure projects.
* Technical knowledge of construction systems, engineering and commissioning methods and materials for major resource projects.
* Experience managing contracts and knowledge of project commissioning and completion processes.
* Computer literacy in MS Office, database applications, and CCMS is required.
