Achieve Something Great
The Perinatal Mental Health Professional plays a pivotal role within the BANYAN Equity Project Team, delivering high‑quality, specialist consultative and clinical services within an innovative, equity‑driven model of care. This role supports families across the first 2,000 days of life, providing evidence‑based assessment, intervention, advocacy, and coordinated care from pregnancy through early childhood. Grounded in trauma‑informed and family‑sensitive practice, you will work collaboratively alongside midwives, child and family health nurses, and multidisciplinary partners to strengthen outcomes for women, children, and families. You will also contribute to service development, quality improvement, research initiatives, and cross‑sector partnerships that help shape a more connected and responsive health system.
Are You the Right Fit?
You are a skilled and compassionate clinician who is deeply committed to equity, collaboration, and supporting vulnerable families through evidence‑based care. You bring advanced clinical judgement, strong engagement skills, and confidence in working with complex family needs, while providing specialist consultation to colleagues across the district. With a strong commitment to trauma‑informed practice, professional development, supervision, and multidisciplinary teamwork, you are motivated to help drive this new model of care forward. If you are ready to build trusted relationships, utilise digital tools such as Watch Me Grow – E to enhance family engagement, and contribute to reimagining maternal and early childhood mental health care, this transformative role may be the perfect fit for you.
