Job Title: Quality Manager
Rheinmetall NIOA Munitions Pty Ltd has established a state-of-the-art forging and manufacturing facility in Maryborough QLD, producing artillery shell cases and other munitions-related products for the defence industry.
The Quality Manager is responsible for ensuring best-practice quality systems, processes, policies, procedures, and controls are developed, implemented, and adopted in accordance with relevant Australian and international standards and customer requirements and expectations.
This includes developing and leading the quality team by establishing a quality strategy including QMS, budget, workplans, policies, procedures, processes, and KPIs to optimize value from the quality function.
The Quality Manager will also establish and maintain excellent professional relationships with other functional leads to achieve seamless outcomes.
They will monitor effectiveness of the quality function, including IMS systems and processes, by overseeing activities and coordinating audits, health checks, and other activities fostering a continuous improvement culture.
* Key responsibilities include monitoring certification standards, reporting on departmental and company performance pertaining to QMS, quality standards, audits, supplier management.
* They will recommend and direct implementation of improvements to meet company objectives.
* The Quality Manager will act as a subject matter expert in regards to quality and process improvement.
* They will provide expertise and guidance in interpreting government regulations and guidelines related to QMS and regulatory compliance.
A degree in Engineering, quality management certification, industry 4.0 certification, knowledge of non-destructive testing and ultrasonic testing, experience, and in-depth understanding of ISO standards are required for this role.
