We are seeking an experienced and passionate cook to join our Hospitality team at The Bays Healthcare Group in Mornington. This permanent part time position (60 hours per fortnight) offers a rewarding opportunity to contribute to the health and wellbeing of our patients and visitors through exceptional food and preparation and service.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Preparation and production of high-quality menu items according to standardised recipes.
Maintain meticulous adherence to Food Safety and Hygiene Standards
Assist with daily stock rotation and basic ordering
Collaborate with the established kitchen team to deliver consistent food service across a variety of shifts
Participate in weekend shifts on a rotating fortnightly roster
Contribute to a clean, safe and organised environment
Ensure compliance with HACCP, OH&S and internal audit standards
ABOUT YOU:
The successful candidate will demonstrate the following skills, experience and attributes:
Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent industry experience in a cook role)
A demonstrated ability to work productively in a variety of environments including a la carte, set menu production and event catering
Solid understanding of food handling, HACCP, and OH&S principle
A dedication to food quality, hygiene, and presentation
Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritise effectively
A team player with a positive attitude and strong interpersonal skills
