About the role
These are for contract positions with federal government clients, supported by SKNG.
Australian citizenship is essential. Security Clearance is beneficial.
We specialise in helping contractors build positive relationships and also help people win their first contract and mentor them through as they adjust to contractor life.
As part of our leadership guild, you will be a leader and exceptional manager of delivery. As a Delivery Manager, you will have demonstrable experience in coordinating, managing and building a team to deliver on organisation outcomes.
We typically only engage with clients with long term roles, however, you may be able to apply for shorter timeframe projects.
These roles are typically in Canberra (although remote is certainly now possible).

Main responsibilities
The Technology Architect will perform duties including:
* Lead a mixed group of technical and business resources in initiatives to design applications end-to-end
* Support application teams in architecting and designing applications
* Maintain the department's application architecture and related models
* Perform application portfolio management
• Support the implementation of the department's IT Strategy
* Prepare relevant technology briefings, strategies and architectural roadmaps
* Provide technical advice to IT investment proposals
* Provide technical advice and support to Application Development, Technical Operations and other relevant departmental teams
* Contribute to the division's Architecture Community of Practice and Design Architecture Forum
* Support the Architecture, Strategy and Emerging Technologies Team staff and priorities, as needed.
Selection Criteria
* Have experience in designing and implementing applications from ground up including application architecture, application design, database design and development
* Previous experience as a developer before becoming an architect is essential
* Be up to date in the latest technologies
* Have experience in implementing systems on premises and Cloud
* Have experience in PaaS and SaaS solutions
* Have knowledge and experience in architecting for maintenance and application performance
* Have knowledge in application design patterns and application development patterns
* Understand networking concepts
* Understand authorisation frameworks and well as authentication mechanisms
* Be able to work in an agile, virtual team environment o Be able to collaborate effectively with business and IT stakeholders
* Have excellent communication and presentation skills
About you
* Must be
Australian Citizen
* Tertiary qualifications at Bachelor Degree or higher
Significant experience delivering business analysis in ICT projects;
Demonstrated experience in analysing and documenting complex business processes;
A team focus with the ability to show initiative and do what needs to be done to help the team deliver;
The ability to raise issues, voice opinions and explicitly explain background and thinking around proposed changes;
Demonstrated experience in working in an agile project delivery environment, understanding of the roles of an agile team, and (desirably) experience in supporting technologies
