PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
Europ Assistance (part of Generali Group) are seeking dynamic Partnership Managers to join our growing team. Based in Perth reporting to the National Partnership Manager - Australia, you'll be pivotal in building and nurturing relationships within our extensive network of Flight Centre Travel Group retail stores.
As Strategic Partnership Manager - WANTSA, you'll lead sales initiatives and forge strong alliances with retail travel agencies and offices in your designated area. This involves providing comprehensive support and sales development, conducting onboarding training, offering strategic guidance to Team Leaders and driving engagement within your allocated territory. ABOUT FLIGHT CENTRE & OUR PARTNERSHIP
Flight Centre, the flagship brand of Flight Centre Travel Group (FCTG), an internationally renowned travel company originating from Australia, stands among the top five largest travel agencies globally. Operating across 11 countries, encompassing over 2,000 leisure, corporate, and wholesale businesses, Flight Centre boasts a network of more than 450 stores and over 3,500 Travel Experts. With a strong online presence through its global website, Flight Centre serves customers in Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Canada, the UK, and through Liberty Travel in the US. In January 2024, following a comprehensive global request for proposal (RFP) process, Europ Assistance was successful to become Flight Centre's new travel insurance provider, with plans for the partnership to commence operations in Australia and New Zealand by late 2024.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage retail territory of Flight Centre Travel Group retail stores:
* Cultivate and nurture strong relationships within allocated retail territory including Area Leaders, Team Leaders, Future Team Leaders and Consultants.
* Act as the primary point of contact for these stakeholders, providing proactive sales development, training and engagement.
Strategic planning and execution:
* Develop comprehensive strategic plans and initiatives to drive growth and achieve business objectives aligned with the overall goals of Flight Centre Travel Group brands within your territory.
* Utilise market research, industry trends, and competitor analysis to identify opportunities and threats, and adjust strategies accordingly.
* Regularly review and refine strategic plans to ensure relevance and effectiveness.
* Collaborate closely with the National Partnership Managers in Australia in addition the broader Partnerships team to ensure alignment and synergy in strategies and initiatives across different segments of Flight Centre Travel Group. Coordinate joint efforts and initiatives to maximise impact and results.
* Mentor, coach, and support Team Leaders and Future Team Leaders, helping them develop their skills and capabilities to drive performance and achieve their objectives. Foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the team.
Analyse and present insights:
* Utilise data analytics tools and methodologies to analyse key portfolio metrics and trends on a weekly and monthly basis. Translate these insights into action recommendations and present them to Area Leaders, Team Leaders and Future Team Leaders to drive performance and uplift attachment within their retail territory and stores. Use data-driven insights to drive strategic decisions and activities, identify areas for improvement, and optimise performance.
Governance adherence:
* Ensure adherence to the partnership governance structure within Flight Centre, including compliance with policies, procedures, and contractual agreements.
* Work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment and compliance with governance requirements, mitigating risks and ensuring the smooth operation of partnerships.
ROLE REQUIREMENTS
* Extensive experience in retail travel industry, preferably with strong knowledge of Flight Centre and travel insurance distribution.
* Proven experience in account management, business development, or strategic partnership management, preferably in the travel or hospitality industry.
* Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and draw actionable insights.
* Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex information to diverse audiences.
* Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
* Knowledge of partnership governance structures and compliance requirements.
* Willingness to travel as required.
