Sinclair Dermatology is Victoria's largest dermatology practice, incorporating a specialist clinic with more than 15 specialists, a clinical trials unit, dermal and laser clinic, and a hair salon. Sinclair Dermatology is a globally recognised medical centre headed by internationally renowned Dermatologist, Professor Rodney Sinclair. Our main office is located in East Melbourne with additional centres in Pascoe Vale South and Parkville.
The Opportunity
We are seeking a full‑time experienced Dermatology Fellow to join our busy dermatology clinic at Sinclair Dermatology.
Responsibilities
* Consult with a variety of adult and paediatric patients in clinic – up to 10 sessions per week
* Review patient referrals, take medical histories, examine, diagnose, treat, refer to other specialists, request laboratory testing, prescribe medication and associated therapies, report back to referring doctors, maintain patient clinical records, review results, and communicate to patients
* Perform non‑invasive biopsy or excision procedures
* Discuss skin healthcare with patients
* Collaborate with our support team of nurses, reception, patient coordinators, medical administration and practice managers to ensure smooth running of the clinic
* Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills and an empathetic demeanour
* Be patient‑focused
* Supervise and mentor junior colleagues
* Refer patients to relevant clinical trials when appropriate
Qualifications
* Skin disorders and skin cancer experience required with subspecialty experience in the treatment of hair disorders, including Androgenetic Alopecia, Alopecia Areata, CCA, FDS, DLE and the most up-to-date treatments such as PRP and medication regimes
* Available for immediate start
* Willingness to travel between clinic locations
