The key duties of the position include We are seeking APS5 staff to work with First Nations organisations to support delivery of the IPA Program. Positions are available across the following teams: Regional Engagement Team Strategy and Policy Team Business Support Team. Please make clear in your application which position you are applying for. Regional Engagement Team This team builds strong, respectful relationships with IPA providers, ranger groups and key partners. It works closely with First Nations organisations to support community-led IPA projects on Country, providing practical guidance on planning, reporting, funding requirements and IPA plans of management. Travel to remote and regional areas may be required. You will administer the grant program, review program and budget reporting, monitor progress and help providers navigate operational, governance or workforce challenges. You will also provide advice on environmental matters and contribute to broader program and policy work. We are looking for an APS5 staff member to support IPA providers through day-to-day engagement, grant administration, and practical program delivery. Strategy and Policy This team leads the development, implementation and continuous improvement of policy and program settings that support the whole IPA network. Roles provide policy advice, program design, monitoring and evaluation, guidance materials and strategic initiatives that strengthen IPA delivery, governance, performance and reporting. You will work collaboratively across government and with First Nations stakeholders to ensure policies are practical, culturally informed and aligned with environmental and community priorities. These roles are ideal for people who enjoy big picture thinking, turning policy into practical action. We are looking for an APS5 staff member to support policy development, prepare guidance materials, coordinate program information and contribute to practical improvements across the IPA Program. Business Support Team This team provides the financial, contractual and administrative backbone of the IPA Program. It administers funding agreements, tracks budgets, and manages reporting and assurance processes to help ensure IPA providers receive funding in a timely and transparent way. You will work closely with regional teams, the Community Grants Hub, First Nations organisations and across government to resolve financial or contractual issues, supporting audits and compliance activities, and contribute to ongoing improvements in systems and processes.
