Advanced Clinical Pharmacist - Education & Training
The role consists of 0.4 WTE with the Pharmacy Education & Training Team.
This exciting role supports programmes and future developments for undergraduate students, trainee pharmacists, and pharmacists from General to Advanced Level Practice. You will work with the Lead for Education and Training, the Advanced Clinical Pharmacist Education Programme Director for Trainee Pharmacists, and the Specialist Pharmacy Technician for Education, Training and Digital Medicine to support these initiatives.
Supporting the Trust's commitment to excellence, you will lead initiatives to ensure safe prescribing, administration, and cost‐effective use of medicines. You will also support workforce planning. The role is based mainly at Pinderfields Hospital, but may require working across the Trust as needed.
Main duties of the job
* Provide education, training and professional development for post‐registration pharmacists.
* Collaborate with the Education and Training team to deliver the Pharmacy Education & Training Strategy for undergraduates, trainees and pharmacists.
* Support the Lead Nurse Medicines Optimisation in delivering Trust‐wide medicines‐related training.
* Assist the Pharmacy Lead for Education and Training and Specialist Pharmacy Technician in delivering the strategy for Pharmacy Technicians, support staff and in supporting the Advanced Pharmacist for Education and Training.
* Act as a mentor for students in practice placements and provide a clinical pharmacy service.

Job responsibilities
The following qualifications are essential:
* Masters or Bachelors degree in Pharmacy.
* Postgraduate diploma or Masters in clinical pharmacy (or equivalent experience).
* Registered pharmacist with the General Pharmaceutical Council.
* Qualified as Pharmacist Independent Prescriber or willingness to train.
* Experience working in hospital pharmacy, including ward‐based clinical work.
* Evidence of continuing professional development.
* Experience working in a multi‐disciplinary team with senior doctors and nurses.
* Relevant clinical experience.
* Experience of audit.
* Experience educating and training a variety of professionals.
* Experience as a diploma or pre‐registration tutor.
* Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, electronic).
* Excellent interpersonal skills.
* Ability to prioritise and manage an unpredictable workload.
* Ability to motivate self and others.
* Demonstrated initiative and proactivity.
* IT skills, including Microsoft Office applications.
* Excellent presentation skills.
