Our facilities and services are world class and our staff are dedicated, innovative and caring.Where you will be basedThis position is located across various locations within Sydney Local Health District including Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, Concord Hospital and Canterbury Hospital.About the roleThe Registered Midwife is responsible for the provision of woman-centred; evidence-based midwifery care that promotes identified health outcomes. The Registered Midwife will assess, plan, implement and evaluate midwifery care in collaboration with individuals and the multidisciplinary healthcare team.Sydney Local Health District (SLHD) is now recruiting to a Midwifery Staff Bank. We’re offering permanent roles at Royal Prince Alfred (RPA) and Canterbury Hospitals, with the opportunity to work in a variety of clinical areas across Maternity Services. If you have completed a New Graduate Program and have experience in any of the areas and want the opportunity to build your career, this opportunity is for you! Clinical Areas include – Antenatal Clinic, Antenatal Ward, Postnatal Ward, Delivery Ward/Birth Unit, Birth Centre (RPA), Special Care Nursery and Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (RPA). To be employed by NSW Health you are required to provide evidence of vaccination to comply with the NSW Health Occupational Assessment, Screening & Vaccination against Specified Infectious Diseases Policy (PD2022_030).All NSW Health workers are required to have completed a primary course of a COVID-19 vaccine which has been approved or recognised by the Therapeutics Goods Administration (TGA). Additionally, Category A workers are required to receive a booster dose three months after completing the primary course of COVID-19 vaccinations. New applicants must have completed the vaccination course prior to commencement with NSW Health, or provide an approved medical contraindication certificate (IM011 immunisation medical exemption form) certifying the worker cannot have any approved COVID-19 vaccines available in NSW. Acceptable proof of vaccination is the Australian Immunisation Register (AIR) Immunisation History Statement or AIR COVID-19 Digital Certificate.
