Key Responsibilities
* Lead the installation and commissioning of advanced can-making and packaging equipment imported from China, ensuring full compliance with Australian safety and performance standards.
* Perform precision calibration of high-speed seaming machines, applying patented sealing algorithms and fine-tuning servo systems for optimal accuracy.
* Execute on-site diagnostics and control program adjustments, including direct access to and modification of core control logic for PLC and automation systems.
* Conduct high-pressure sealing and welding tests using proprietary internal models to validate system durability and production quality.
* Deliver authorised technical training on patented Chinese-manufactured components, ensuring local teams achieve competency in maintenance and troubleshooting.
* Oversee full-line production validation, optimise servo motor parameters, and establish long-term performance benchmarks.
* Compile and submit detailed diagnostic reports, acceptance documentation, and compliance certifications to stakeholders.
* Act as the technical liaison with Chinese partners, managing equipment updates, technical documentation, and real-time issue resolution.
Candidate Requirements
* Minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience in automation engineering, specifically with Chinese-manufactured industrial equipment.
* Strong background in installation, commissioning, calibration, and troubleshooting of automated packaging or can-making machinery.
* Professional certification(s) in automation, mechatronics, or electrical engineering, proving technical competency.
* Fluent in English; Mandarin (spoken & reading) highly desirable to facilitate direct communication with Chinese partners.
* Must hold a valid Australian work visa that allows unrestricted work rights.
* Immediate availability to commence is strongly preferred.
* Proven ability to work independently, manage cross-functional projects, and deliver under tight schedules.
