Job Title: Network Technical Specialist.
Job Summary
Dedicated to providing complex technical support for Level 2 Networking within a Tier 1 Managed Services NOC. The role handles operation and maintenance of enterprise customer data networks in a 24x7 shift environment and requires Negative Vetting Level 1 Security Clearance.
Responsibilities
* Provide specialised technical support for detection, investigation and resolution of complex network faults and routine issues related to customers' networks and Telstra carriage services, ensuring faults are responded to and resolved within agreed timelines.
* Apply incident‐management methodologies to meet monthly KPI metrics for fault detection and resolution.
* Perform L2 investigation of network faults.
* Diagnose and restore complex issues on customers' private networks for Telstra's enterprise customers.
* Lead or participate in detailed technical investigations to establish system and design standards and performance parameters for supplied and operated networks, infrastructure, products and services.
* Provide proactive change management with customers to minimise impact of service/network changes and planned outages.
* Complete all simple service requests/MACs in a timely manner.
* Coordinate with service desk, customers, vendors and resolver groups for timely resolution.

Qualifications
* NV1 Security clearance.
* CCNA certification.
* Fortinet Foundation (Fundamentals/Associate) certification.
* 3‐5years of experience in network support.
* Knowledge of Cisco Switching / routing and Fortinet Switching / routing.
* ITIL awareness of incident management, service request fulfilment and change management processes.
* Hands‐on experience configuring Cisco and/or Fortinet devices.
Desirable
* Bachelor's degree in engineering, telecommunications or equivalent.
* CCNP certification.
* Fortinet Advanced (Associate/Professional) certifications.
* Wireless, F5, Juniper and VOIP knowledge.
* SDWAN technologies expertise.
Other Requirements
* Must be located in Canberra or Sydney.
* Must be able to participate in a 24/7 shift roster work arrangement.
* Must be an Australian citizen with a current Baseline/NV1/NV2 clearance.
* Role requires holding and maintaining an Australian Government Baseline/NV1/NV2 security clearance.
