Lead Disaster Resilience Programs
The NSW government is seeking a Senior Program Officer to drive impactful programs that strengthen disaster resilience across the state.
About the Role
This temporary position, based in Parramatta/Sydney or Lismore, will involve managing and coordinating complex program initiatives that support statewide planning, preparedness, response, and recovery.
* Develop research and provide expert advice to ensure programs are evidence-based and strategically aligned.
* Collaborate with stakeholders to drive project milestones and shape disaster management outcomes.
The ideal candidate will have:
* Demonstrated experience designing and/or coordinating government programs.
* Strong project management skills and excellent written communication skills.
* Ability to conduct and apply research to inform program development.
* Skills in stakeholder engagement and relationship management.
Essential Requirements
The successful candidate will hold:
* Tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
* A current unrestricted NSW drivers' licence.
* Ability and willingness to travel within NSW and support other operational roles during disasters, emergencies, and other events.
