Opening late 2025, our new Kingpin venue is set to be the ultimate showstopper, your recent local and quite frankly, a bit of a show-off. 
Spanning a massive 3700m2, this space will feature: 
A next level bar and grill with serious main character energy 
2 bars, 16 taps, endless vibes craft and classic beers, cocktails and premium pours 
Every sport live ensuring guests never miss a match-game moment 
Event spaces designed for trivia nights, comedy shows, and more 
A sporting arena packed with activities like indoor lawn bowls, batting cages, and darts 
Uniquely designed Arcade exclusive games, interactive experiences and classic favourites

Essence of the position 
We have begun the search for our Head Chef. 
Our Bar & Grill in Kingpin Melbourne is set to delight, featuring a state-of-the-art open kitchen including a Josper Grill and a pizza oven we know will be running hot into the night! 
With a menu curated specifically for this new venue, this will be a kitchen you will be proud to manage. 
Responsibilities 
Meet operational standards to meet guest expectations and aligning to our company mission and values 
Deliver on all aspects of a high-volume kitchen, including the execution of Group & Corporate events, collaborating with other Heads of Department for the best outcomes 
Execute the menu + also create weekly specials to consistently meet standards and delight our guests 
Lead the kitchen team by modelling the importance of the operation and the guest experience, being hands on and working WITH the team! 
Train new team members and ensure training compliance in your team and adherence to SOPs 
Deliver on budgetary targets by efficient ordering, managing wastage, managing the scheduling of team and identifying opportunities alongside your General Manager for cost control 
Enthusiastically drive & implement any new menus and F&B; promotions 
Key attributes & capabilities 
Proven experience as a Head Chef or strong Senior Sous Chef in high-volume restaurants or premium casual dining environments, where you have been hands on and happy to roll up your sleeves 
Able to multi-task, prioritise and execute to deliver high-quality results in fast-paced settings 
Extensive understanding of food safety principles, particularly allergen & dietary management, and regulatory compliance requirements 
Strong in kitchen operations in order to execute the menu to a high standard 
Exposure in managing the food operations for large scale events & functions 
A people leader that can inspire, coach on the job, delegate and foster a smooth and efficient kitchen operation
