We're looking for a proactive and detail-driven Senior Development Services Administration Officer to provide high-level administrative support within our Development Services directorate.
In this pivotal role, you'll support the Director and Executive Assistant, streamline administrative processes, mentor administrative staff, and ensure seamless service delivery across the directorate. You'll also step in as Executive Assistant when required and keep everything moving without missing a beat.
About the role
In this role, you will provide high-level administrative support to the Development Services team, ensuring services comply with legislative and organisational requirements. You will assist with processing applications, approvals, invoicing, compliance activities, and maintaining accurate records and reports.
You will also support process improvements, train and mentor administrative officers, coordinate meetings and documentation, and provide backup Executive Assistant support. When required, you will act as Executive Assistant to the Director to ensure continuity of support.
What we're looking for:
* Strong administration, organisation, and time management skills
* Excellent communication and attention to detail
* Confidence working independently and collaboratively
* Experience in a technical or local government environment (desirable)
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Qualifications:
* Previous administrative experience, preferably in a similar technical environment
* Previous experience in Local Government (desirable)
* Experience in training or mentoring staff (desirable)
* Current C class driver's licence
* National (or Federal) Police Certificate (no more than 6 months old)
