About the Role
54 Reasons Bail Support Service aims to address the reasons behind young people being remanded in custody.
Through this service we provide a holistic response to addressing risk factors contributing to a young person's involvement in the youth justice system.
In this full-time maximum term role (through to end of June **** with potential for extension) you'll work as a part of our Bail Support team in Hervey Bay to help us create lasting change for children and young people everywhere.
Responsibilities
Driving quality planning and implementation of the Bail Support program
Coaching, training and developing colleagues to increase skill and competency to enable high-quality service delivery
Developing and maintaining operational stakeholder relationships that are critical to the success of the program
Coordinating staff caseloads and program logistics, monitoring and evaluation, risk management and child protection
Maintaining a caseload of clients
Qualifications
Demonstrated skills, knowledge, understanding and experience working with culturally diverse young people and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander young people
Demonstrated leadership experience and skills; while this position has no direct reports you will work with the Team Leader to mentor and coach your colleagues
Demonstrated experience in using trauma-informed practice
Ability to build relationships, liaise and plan with program stakeholders and community members
Strong communication skills and experience in report writing
