I am a high‑level quadriplegic, paralysed from the neck down (unable to move and loss of sense of touch), and use a battery powered wheelchair. This type of disability requires carers to help in consultation with the family with things like, but not limited to:
* Personal care - toileting (catheter care and bowel care), showering, dressing and grooming
* Manual Handling - transferring to and from bed to wheelchairs using an electric hoist
* Meal preparation and feeding
* Domestic Duties
* Assistance with household administration
* Social and recreational activities

No experience is necessary however due to the nature of the work and the time involved in training our team, applicants seeking long term employment (two years or more) are preferred. A driver’s license and own transport is an advantage.

Shift Guide:
All shifts on offer are shared within a reliable and dedicated small team. The roster is flexible with an expectation the team will ensure all shifts are covered 7 days per week.
Shifts on offer (but not limited to) ranging from 6:00pm to 8.00pm, 6:00pm to 9:30pm or 5:30pm to 9:30pm
Due to physical limitations some personal care tasks require two people during shifts.
An infrequent ‘sleepover’ shift may be required with as much notice given as possible.
Employment is on a casual basis under Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Industry Award 2020.
