About the Team
Join our supportive and dedicated team at the Wansey Dialysis Unit in Charlestown, part of the John Hunter Hospital Department of Nephrology. As the largest dialysis unit in the district, we provide high-quality care across 22 dialysis chairs, supported by teamwork, professionalism, and patient‐centred care.
Responsibilities
Working alongside a team of experienced Registered Nurses, you will support patients undergoing dialysis treatment. Your tasks will include:
* Preparing and setting up dialysis sessions to ensure safe and effective care.
* Supporting patients before, during, and after treatment, providing comfort and reassurance.
* Contributing to a collaborative and supportive environment where teamwork is key.
Qualifications & Requirements
* Certificate III in Assisting in Nursing (Acute Care only).
* OR registered nursing student (completed 1st year and the first semester/trimester of 2nd year).
* OR enrolled nursing student (completed foundational TAFE NSW Diploma units plus 80 hours clinical placement).
* Demonstrated enthusiasm, compassion, genuine desire to work as part of a team.
* Attendance at training will be provided; prior dialysis experience is not required.
