As a Town Planner you will play a vital role in supporting development assessment and community engagement in our diverse Sydney community.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide planning and development information to the public through Council's Duty Planner service.
* Prepare assessment reports and determinations on development applications and subdivision certificates.
* Conduct site inspections and prepare supporting documentation.
* Coordinate internal and external stakeholder feedback on development matters.
* Respond to enquiries at the customer service counter, via email, and by phone.
* Meet statutory timeframes and contribute to the delivery of efficient development services.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Tertiary qualifications in Town Planning (or nearing completion).
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
* Good organisational and problem-solving abilities.
* Understanding of relevant Acts and customer service delivery.
* Ability to work collaboratively and professionally in a fast-paced environment.
* Class C Driver's Licence.
