Electrical Resident Technician
Brisbane | Automated Warehouse Environment
The Role
We're looking for an experienced Electrical Technician to join a highly automated, state‐of‐the‐art facility in Brisbane. This is a hands‐on role where you'll be responsible for maintaining and supporting advanced automated warehouse systems, working closely with on‐site teams to ensure maximum uptime and performance. You'll play a key role in preventative maintenance, fault finding, and continuous improvement, while also supporting the wider team with technical expertise.
Key Responsibilities
* Carry out preventative and corrective maintenance on automated systems
* Diagnose and resolve electrical, PLC, and mechanical faults
* Ensure all maintenance activities meet OEM standards
* Update and manage work through CMMS systems
* Support team leaders and assist in training new technicians
* Liaise with international technical support teams to resolve complex issues
* Monitor spare parts usage and provide recommendationsWork closely with operations teams to ensure smooth site performance
* Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and system optimisation
* Maintain a strong focus on safety at all times
About You
* Electrical Licence (essential)
* Experience working within automation, intralogistics, or warehouse environments
* Strong fault‐finding skills across PLC, VSDs, and electrical systems
* Experience using CMMS systems
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals
* Exposure to pneumatics, hydraulics, and mechatronics systems
* Strong problem‐solving ability and ability to work under pressure
* Team player with a proactive and safety‐focused mindset
