Service Officer Payroll
Clerk Grade: 3/4, base salary starting at $84,659 - $92,701 plus superannuation

* 2 x Temporary until 31st October 2026, with the possibility of extension
* 2 x Temporary until 3rd September 2027, with the possibility of extension
Location: Parramatta - Initially this role will require in-office training for 4-6 weeks, the role can become hybrid with a 5-day fortnight in the Parramatta office after this training period. Flexible working options available
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Service Officer Payroll to join the HR Process Operations team within Government Shared Services at the Department of Customer Service.
The successful candidate will be an energetic individual and play a key role in supporting the payroll operations.
Essential Requirements

In this role you will:
Provide a high level of payroll processing and customer service in compliance with award, taxation, legislative and audit requirements to facilitate the payment of current employee entitlements. You will be part of a fast-paced energetic team providing payroll services across various NSW Government agencies.
Your day-to-day:
* Provide high quality payroll processing in compliance with award, taxation, legislative and audit requirements to facilitate the payment of current employee entitlements.
* Provide quality customer service, internally in the department and externally to customers and stakeholders
* Manage day to day workloads to ensure completion of tasks within agreed timeframes
* Assist seniors and team leaders with complex requests as directed
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:
* Previous experience working in a large payroll team
* An understanding of Government awards
* A strong attention to detail
* Good communication skills, both written and verbal
* Experience using MS Office products
* Previous experience using SAP and ServiceNow
