 
        
        About the role We are seeking an experienced and driven Venue Manager to join our vibrant team at The Promenade Docklands. As Venue Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our premier hospitality venue, ensuring exceptional customer service and driving financial success. This is a full-time position based in our Docklands, VIC 3008 location. Australian permanent residency is required for this position.
What you\'ll be doing
Providing strong leadership and management to the venue team, including hiring, training, and developing staff
Ensuring exceptional customer service and a seamless guest experience
Managing all financial aspects of the venue, including budgeting, reporting, and cost control
Overseeing inventory management, procurement, and stock control
Implementing and monitoring policies, procedures, and health and safety standards
Driving sales and revenue growth through strategic marketing and promotional initiatives
Building and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders, including suppliers and partners
Continuously seeking ways to improve operations and enhance the venue\'s overall performance
What we\'re looking for
Significant experience (5+ years) in a similar Venue Manager or General Manager role within the hospitality industry
Experience in events and functions hospitality is essential
Demonstrated success in leading and motivating a high-performing team
Minimum experience managing teams of 20+ staff members is required
Excellent customer service and problem-solving skills
Strong financial management and budget control abilities
Proficiency in inventory management and stock control
Familiarity with relevant health and safety regulations and best practices
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
A passion for the hospitality industry and a commitment to delivering exceptional guest experiences
Current RSA (Responsible Service of Alcohol) certification is required
