Offer description

Linked Community Services is a respected and high performing community services organisation operating from Kempsey to Nelson Bay. In 2026 we celebrate 40 years of service excellence. Four decades of strengthening communities, supporting independence and delivering services that matter.

We are entering a significant period of strategic growth and organisational maturity. Our next five years are focused on deepening impact, strengthening service integration, investing in workforce capability, enhancing financial sustainability, embracing innovation and digital transformation, and expanding partnerships across the regions we serve.

Guided by a clear strategic direction and strong governance, Linked Community Services is committed to delivering high-quality, person-centred services that enhance safety, wellbeing and independence. Our culture is values driven and collaborative. We foster accountability, innovation, transparency and mutual respect. We are ambitious for our communities and equally ambitious for the calibre of leadership we bring into our organisation.

Due to sustained growth and future strategic direction, we are now seeking an exceptional executive leader to join us as General Manager Client Services.

About the Role

This is a rare and career defining executive opportunity.

Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer and working as a key member of the Executive Leadership Team, the General Manager Client Services plays a pivotal role in shaping, strengthening and scaling service delivery across our geographic footprint.

This position is responsible for:

* Leading all operational services across the organisation
* Ensuring contractual, service delivery and funding outcomes are achieved
* Driving operational excellence and continuous improvement
* Translating strategic intent into measurable operational performance
* Building a culture of service quality, accountability and innovation
* Developing high performing operational leaders

As Linked Community Services enters its next five-year strategic horizon, this role will be instrumental in operationalising our Strategic Plan by aligning systems, people, performance frameworks and partnerships to deliver sustainable growth and community impact.

This is a high visibility executive leadership role requiring strategic insight, operational discipline, strong financial acumen and genuine commitment to community wellbeing. The successful candidate will balance governance requirements with service innovation while fostering a culture where teams feel empowered, supported and accountable.

About You

You are a contemporary executive leader who combines strategic capability with operational depth. You can confidently translate Board and Chief Executive Officer direction into disciplined execution while maintaining strong relational leadership across a diverse service environment.

You are resilient, values driven, commercially aware and deeply motivated by purpose.

Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline such as business, community services, management, health or a related field.

Demonstrated ability to translate Chief Executive Officer and Board vision into operational strategy and measurable outcomes.

Minimum five years' experience in a senior operational management role within a complex service environment.

Strong understanding of contemporary legislation, regulatory standards and funding frameworks impacting community or aged care services.

Proven experience in operational leadership, contract management, service coordination, service design and service development.

Strong financial literacy with demonstrated ability to manage budgets, funding streams and contractual performance within agreed parameters.

Highly developed stakeholder engagement and influencing capability with evidence of successful partnership development.

Exceptional communication, negotiation, interpersonal and emotional intelligence skills.

Demonstrated ability to lead, coach and develop operational managers to achieve high performance.

Professional resilience and proven capacity to operate effectively at Executive level within a governance framework.

While sector experience is highly regarded, we welcome applications from leaders outside the community services sector who bring transferable executive capability and a genuine desire to contribute to meaningful community outcomes.
