**About the Role** 
Step into a dynamic, education-focused role at the Melbourne Conservatorium of Music, where you will play a pivotal role in the delivery of music career development, entrepreneurship, and engagement activities.
The position may be extended for an additional 12 months (1 December 2025 to 30 November 2026) based on Conservatorium needs, budgets and performance of the appointee.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Lead IgniteLAB program delivery, management, and strategic planning, in alignment with priorities and resourcing set by the Conservatorium Director, and in consultation with the supervisor and relevant stakeholders and partners. 
- Sustain partnerships with key industry stakeholders, to support student internship and external mentoring opportunities, and additional forms of engagement. Develop new partnerships as needed. 
- Manage rollout of the IgniteLAB Grants Program to foster and support innovative student-designed projects, consulting a selection panel of relevant staff members; support grant winners in implementing and completing their projects. 
- Collaborate with academic staff and professional staff (Engagement & Partnerships, etc) to generate synergies between IgniteLAB programming and diverse aspects of community engagement.
**Who We Are Looking For** 
We are seeking a agile professional with experience in music career development and entrepreneurship, ideally within an educational or industry setting. You have a proven track record in delivering career development programs, building partnerships with internal and industry stakeholders, and passion for mentoring students.
Strong project coordination, organisational skills, and a collaborative approach are essential, along with a passion for innovative, future-focused training in the performing arts.
You will also have:
- A relevant educational qualification and a record of experience fostering music career development and entrepreneurship in an education or industry setting. 
- Previous experience with music entrepreneurship and career development training and program delivery within an education or industry setting. 
- Demonstrated capacity to initiate, manage, and maintain partnerships and collaborations with internal stakeholders (students and staff) and external partner organisations (presenting organisations and venues, etc.) 
- Demonstrated expertise in organisational and project coordination tasks and demonstrated ability to set priorities and meet project deadlines. 
- Demonstrated ability to mentor tertiary students, through respectful and empowering communications and appropriate advice.
