Infrastructure Planning Engineer Cadet Camden Council in partnership with the NSW Government is offering an Infrastructure Planning Engineer Cadet position as part of the 'Fresh start for Local Government Apprentices, Trainees and Cadets' Program.
SALARY: $43,024 - 58,494 pa + Super.
Work Type: Temporary Full Time up to 2 years, commencing November 2025.
Location: Oran Park Administration Building - 70 Central Avenue, Oran Park 2570.
Please note that salary and conditions of employment are in accordance with the Local Government (State) Award.

Key Functions
Assist senior engineers in the planning, design, and coordination of infrastructure projects, gaining practical insights and experience.
Participate in meetings and liaise with various stakeholders to develop communication and coordination skills.
Support the team in providing design advice, assessing infrastructure needs, and managing preliminary designs under the guidance of experienced engineers.
Contribute to the development of grant applications and the assessment of business cases, learning the processes involved in securing funding for infrastructure projects.
Essential
Must be commencing second to last or last year of study in an undergraduate degree in Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) or related qualification to be eligible for this Cadetship.
Basic understanding of Civil Engineering Design
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
Desirable
Experience in Flood Modelling and/or Traffic Modelling
