Operations Manager – South Sunshine Coast & North Brisbane
* Lead and mentor frontline teams to make a genuine difference in the lives of people with disability.
* Work with an ethical, values‑led NDIS provider focused on dignity, respect and positive outcomes.
* Flexible role supporting work‑life balance alongside meaningful leadership responsibility.
CSBS is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead a portfolio of participants and teams across the South Sunshine Coast, North Brisbane area.
This is a pivotal leadership role. As an Operations Manager, you will sit at the intersection of people, practice, systems and service delivery, ensuring participants receive safe, high‑quality, person‑centred disability supports and teams are supported to work effectively, consistently and with confidence.
About CSBS
We exist to support people with disability to live independent lives on their terms — with dignity, respect, and genuine choice.
Our work is grounded in strong values, practical leadership, and a commitment to continuous learning and improvement. We prioritise relationships, collaboration, capability‑building, and meaningful outcomes for participants.
What you will do
Reporting to the State Operations Manager, you will be accountable for the day‑to‑day operational leadership of an allocated participant and workforce portfolio.
This is a practice‑led leadership role where you set the tone for performance and culture. You will demonstrate consistent, values‑aligned decision‑making, embed disciplined practice routines, and ensure expectations are understood and upheld across teams. You will operate seamlessly across frontline operations, governance and oversight, and external relationships, remaining connected to service realities while actively managing quality, risk, compliance, and participant outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
* Lead and embed strong, consistent practice across your portfolio, ensuring teams understand not only what is required, but why.
* Model disciplined, values‑aligned practice in everyday leadership — setting clear expectations, following through, and holding yourself and others to account.
* Maintain rigorous oversight of compliance, risk management and service integrity, intervening early where practice, systems or judgement place participant outcomes, safety or organisational obligations at risk.
* Hold direct accountability for managing your own administrative and compliance responsibilities confidently and efficiently, using systems effectively while staying actively engaged with frontline teams and key stakeholders.
* Build the capability of Team Leaders and Lead Support Workers through clear expectations, coaching and follow‑through, enabling them to operate with confidence, consistency and accountability in complex service environments.
* Balance participant‑led supports with organisational, statutory and NDIS requirements, ensuring safety, quality and sustainability are upheld without losing sight of individual needs and outcomes.
* Build and maintain strong, respectful relationships with participants, families, guardians and stakeholders, supporting trust, clarity and continuity of care.
* Contribute to workforce and roster stability, working collaboratively across operations to support service continuity.
* Participate in the Operations after hours support roster, supporting service continuity outside standard business hours.
What We’re Looking For
You are a leader who:
* Is values‑led and ethical, with a strong commitment to dignity, respect and participant safeguarding.
* Understands that good practice and good compliance go together, and leads accordingly.
* Is calm, considered and practical when managing competing priorities and operational pressure.
* Is digitally confident, able to use systems effectively and model disciplined operational practice.
* Is comfortable being present with frontline teams, engaged with stakeholders, and accountable for operational outcomes.
* Can operate as a generalist, adapting across participant needs, service contexts and operational demands.
To be considered for this role, you will need:
* Demonstrated experience leading teams in disability or community services.
* Strong understanding of quality practice, risk management and NDIS requirements.
* Proven ability to maintain service quality and consistency in live operational environments.
* Confidence using digital tools and platforms (including Microsoft 365).
