Assist in managing some of Sydney's most iconic outdoor events

Our client is a highly regarded Event Support specialist company working across a variety of iconic large-scale outdoor events as well as film and TV sets. Their planning and on-ground services include traffic & pedestrian management, event management, logistics procurement and coordination, hostile vehicle mitigation, stunt and safety, risk management, and security services. We are currently seeking an experienced event manager to assist with managing the logistics and operations required for successful delivery of high-quality outdoor events/projects.
**The role**:
Reporting to the Managing Director, you will be part of the event management team coordinating and executing the details to ensure the successful delivery of high-quality outdoor events, as well as managing and maintaining film and TV sets
- You will manage a portfolio of clients, events and projects from start to finish
- Provide detailed Project Management updates to both clients and suppliers
- Develop and provide accurate cost estimates to clients based on their scope of works
- Design Transport Management Plans, Traffic Guidance Schemes and obtaining permits for clients
- Leading teams on worksites including managing their safety and wellbeing
- Oversee operations and logistics for events/projects ensuring the management team are informed and there is an adequate deployment of resources (staffing/equipment)
- Assist other Managers with their events and projects as required
- Coordinate between the company, State authorities, third party clients and other assorted stakeholders
- Provide production and logístical support in the planning and delivery of all events and activations
- Manage associated risk and compliance requirements for outdoor and public events
- An experienced and proactive event manager with a demonstrated understanding of operations and logistics of large-scale outdoor events (min 3 years required)
- A mature, calm, and level-headed approach with the ability to handle stressful situations
- High level customer service skills and professional standards
- Advanced writing and communications skills
- A team player and ability to lead by example
- High level administration, organisational and time management skills
- Advanced computer skills with Microsoft Suite and willingness to learn design software programs for traffic plans
- Ability to listen, teach, learn, critically evaluate, and give constructive feedback
- Class C Full Drivers Licence - mandatory
- Weekend work (which will be remunerated)
- Traffic Control and Implement accreditation (desirable but not required)
- Prepare Work Zone Traffic Management Plan accreditation (desirable but not required)
