Our Client
Our client is a diversified commodities trading business, specialising in the supply and distribution of essential agricultural and energy products across Australia and Asia. Their fertiliser division focuses on the sourcing and sale of high-quality urea and related fertiliser products to support Australian food producers, distributors, and farmers. They would like to appoint a National Sales Manager to drive their urea business in Australia.
The Role
The National Sales Manager will take full ownership of building and expanding the urea and prilled fertiliser business across Australia. This role suits a proactive, self-driven sales professional with strong agribusiness connections and the ability to independently generate leads, build a client pipeline, and convert opportunities into long-term customers. The role will be responsible for developing national sales strategies, identifying new distributor and end-user accounts, and driving growth across the farming, cropping, and food sectors.
Requirements
Minimum five years of proven sales experience within agricultural inputs, fertiliser, or crop nutrition sectors;
Demonstrated ability to independently source and convert leads from cold outreach through to contract signing;
Strong existing network across Australian agribusiness, particularly in fertiliser or farm input channels;
Sound understanding of the fertiliser market (urea and prilled fertiliser), crop cycles, and nutrient management;
Comfortable working autonomously in a results-driven environment;
Willingness to travel nationally and regularly visit regional customers;
Tertiary qualification in Agribusiness, Agriculture, or a related discipline;
Experience selling into both primary producers and food distribution networks;
Familiarity with supply chain logistics for fertiliser importation and domestic distribution.
Remuneration and Location
The role offers an outstanding salary package including superannuation, car and an excellent bonus incentive scheme. Location is flexible and can be anywhere on the eastern seaboard that is relatively close to an airport.
