**About the role**
The** Mechanical Fitter**role**is a** Full-time**position, based at **Oxley, QLD.** Reporting to the** Maintenance Supervisor**at our PGH Bricks manufacturing site**,**you will be working on a 12-hr day roster (2x Days 6am-6pm,2x Night 6pm-6am, 4 off) assisting with general maintenance and breakdown work.
Ideally, the successful applicant will be required to have a manufacturing or Building background, **Mechanical Fitter Trade Certificate**or similar, have good attendance and have a strong awareness and regard for health, safety and the environment.
**Duties & Responsibilities**
- Maintaining operational machines in our PGH Bricks manufacturing site.
- Complete planned maintenance tasks.
- Fault diagnosis and breakdown repairs.
- Complete repairs or modifications as requested by your supervisor.
- Mechanical **Fitting**maintenance activities related to Clay extrusion equipment, mixers, crushers, conveyors, gearboxes/drive assemblies, bearings, rollers etc.
- Basic weld repairs.
- Maintain safe work & operating practices; and maintain a high standard of housekeeping.
