Join our Neonatal Unit as an Associate Nurse Unit Manager!
As the Associate Nurse Unit Manager, you will deliver specialised nursing services while supporting unit leadership and staff development. This role involves managing a clinical portfolio, assisting with practice improvements, and helping oversee operational responsibilities including staffing, rostering, and resource management. You will work closely with the Nurse Unit Manager to ensure consistent, high-quality care delivery while mentoring less experienced staff and maintaining accountability for delegated activities.
About the role:
- Lead and develop a positive work culture while ensuring delivery of high-quality, safe infant care within the 50-bed neonatal unit
- Support the Nurse Unit Manager and Nurse Consultants in clinical, educational and operational activities while coordinating multidisciplinary services
- Provide expert clinical nursing care and oversee patient care plans to achieve optimal outcomes working in the Neonatal and intensive care units
About you:
- Proven competence in Neonatal nursing practice with experience leading and mentoring student nurses, enrolled nurses and junior registered nurses
- Demonstrated experience delivering high-quality, safe care in accordance with National Safety and Quality Health Care Service Standards
- Current registration as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia. Must also hold a Neonatal postgraduate qualification
