The position
Due to an expanding practice, we have a full time position for an Ophthalmic Technician/Medical Receptionist. This is a 12 month contract with the possibility of extension.

About your responsibilities (some of them)
* Providing comprehensive support to the team.
* Delivering excellent patient management including maintaining patient flow, greeting patients, recording and updating patient information and ensuring a smooth journey to and from the reception area, patient screening and consulting rooms.
* Provide pre-screening of patients prior to consultation with ophthalmologist. Tasks involve but are not limited to recording medical history, ophthalmic imaging and visual acuity testing.
* Become proficient in the use of equipment required to accurately and efficiently screen patients
* Strong proficiency in, or ability to quickly pick up electronic appointment booking and reminder systems, document scanning processes, patient and practice communication systems.
* Co-ordinate patient invoicing
More Information
The primary practice is located in South Launceston, and we have a satellite site in Ulverstone. This position is based in our Launceston rooms, however it is a requirement that the successful applicant is available to work at the Ulverstone practice intermittently.
The successful applicant must have flexibility and be able to work anywhere between the hours of 6.30am to 7:00pm Monday to Friday.
