About the Role
We are recruiting on behalf of our client for a Cyber Security Engineer who will play a key role in safeguarding cloud and on‐prem environments. You'll work closely with IT and business stakeholders to improve detection, strengthen controls, and deliver proactive risk management initiatives. This is a great opportunity for someone passionate about modern security engineering and uplift.
Key Responsibilities
* Perform vulnerability scanning, assessments, and incident response
* Implement and monitor key security controls across hybrid environments
* Optimise Microsoft 365 security technologies and SIEM operations
* Create and maintain security documentation, standards and processes
* Assist with compliance requirements including Essential 8 and PCI‐DSS
About You
* Strong background in cyber security engineering or operations
* Experience with Microsoft cloud security, SIEM/SOAR and endpoint protection
* Understanding of defensive and offensive security tools and techniques
* Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
* Security certifications (CISM, CEH, OSCP etc.) are advantageous
