About This Role

This position is responsible for managing customer relationships and identifying new business opportunities in a designated region. The ideal candidate will be a proactive and curious individual with excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently.


Key Responsibilities:

* Build, manage, and close a pipeline of companies that benefit from dbt Cloud's offerings
* Manage and deepen dbt Cloud's footprint in existing accounts, optimizing its impact on these companies
* Engage with technology partners and ecosystem service providers to optimize dbt Cloud's reach and impact in the region
* Lead and contribute to team projects that develop the sales process
* Work with product teams to build and maintain the dbt Cloud enterprise roadmap
* Foster pipeline generation and growth


Requirements

The successful candidate will possess the following qualifications:

* At least 2 years of experience in closing deals in technology sales, with a proven track record of exceeding annual targets
* Able to understand complex technical concepts and develop them into consultative sales
* Excellent verbal, written, and in-person communication skills to engage stakeholders at all levels of an analytics organization
* Diligence and organizational skills to work long, intricate sales cycles involving multiple client teams
* Ability to operate in an ambiguous and fast-paced work environment
* A passion for being an inclusive teammate and involved member of the community
* Experience with SQL or willingness to learn


What Sets You Apart

Candidates with prior experience in analytics, ETL, BI, and/or open-sourced software development will have a competitive advantage. Knowledge of or prior experience with dbt will also be beneficial.
