About this Opportunity
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced (Senior) Research Scientist to lead the establishment of new Indigenous-led science directions for our organization. This role will address Traditional Owner knowledge needs and incorporate Traditional Knowledge systems and Indigenous science approaches within a social-ecological framework.
This position requires collaboration across various science programs to foster best-practice co-design approaches and better understand research impact generated by our organization's science portfolio.
The successful candidate will have demonstrated experience in co-designing and collaborating with First Nations Australians, as well as experience in both qualitative and quantitative research methods appropriate for Indigenous-western science integration.
A key aspect of this role is supporting the professional development of Indigenous staff and collaborators, including through internships, graduate programs, research fellowships, and academic supervision of Higher Degree Research candidates.
