Your role
As a Firmware Engineer, you'll be responsible for designing, developing, and integrating firmware for embedded electronic systems. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions that meet client requirements and timelines.
You will play a key role in:
* Developing firmware for embedded systems (bare metal, RTOS, microcontrollers).
* Designing firmware architecture and implementing within IDEs or command-line tools.
* Collaborating with hardware and software teams to integrate systems.
* Applying version control workflows and maintaining documentation.
* Participating in product development cycles (Agile, Waterfall, etc.).
* Assessing project risks and managing de-risking processes.
* Driving product delivery from concept to market.
Your profile
We're looking for someone with a strong technical foundation and a consulting mindset. Ideally, you'll bring:
* A degree in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, or equivalent experience.
* Proficiency in C/C++ and embedded firmware development.
* Experience with microcontroller-based systems, including STM32 and nRF5.
* Familiarity with RTOS environments such as Zephyr or FreeRTOS.
* Exposure to Unix-like systems (Ubuntu, Yocto) and DTS.
* Knowledge of wireless protocols (Bluetooth, LTE, WiFi).
* Proficiency in scripting languages like Python.
* Experience integrating hardware and software systems.
* Understanding of product development workflows and risk management.
* Experience in regulated environments (IEC62304, ISO13485:2016).
* Strong collaboration skills and a product-focused mindset.
