As a growing residential construction company, we focus on practical delivery, clear communication, and efficient coordination on site.
Due to continued growth, we are seeking a Civil Engineer to support our site operations and consultant coordination across residential projects.
Position Overview
As a Civil Engineer, you will work closely with our site supervisor, trades, and internal team to assist in the smooth delivery of residential construction projects.
This role is suited to a graduate or early-career engineer who is comfortable working in a small team environment, taking ownership of tasks, and supporting day-to-day site and coordination activities.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate with site supervisors to support day-to-day construction activities
Liaise directly with trades, suppliers, and subcontractors to ensure work is carried out as planned
Coordinate with external consultants, including structural engineers, surveyors, and certifiers
Review and interpret engineering and construction drawings
Assist with setting out, levels, and basic site checks as required
Support scheduling and sequencing of works in coordination with site supervisor
Assist with quantities, material take-offs, and ordering support
Respond to site queries and provide technical support to trades
Maintain basic project documentation and records within internal systems
Experience & Skills
Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
Graduate or early-career engineers encouraged to apply
Residential construction experience preferred but not essential
Ability to read and understand construction and engineering drawings
Some practical use of construction drawings is required for effective performance in this role
Strong communication skills and confidence coordinating with trades and consultants
Practical, hands-on approach and willingness to spend time on site
Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks
Comfortable working in a small team with minimal hierarchy
Good computer literacy, including Microsoft Office
Valid driver's licence and ability to travel between sites
