Leadership Role in Mental Health Centre
This position is a key leadership role within a mental health centre where you will lead a dedicated wellbeing team.
As a senior peer wellbeing navigator, you will be responsible for leading a team of peer wellbeing navigators to support and represent people impacted by mental illness, psychological distress and substance use or addiction.
With personal experience of mental illness or psychological distress and recovery, you will be comfortable sharing your experiences with programme consumers in a safe and supported way.
Your leadership experience in the health or community services sector will be valuable in this role, as well as your proven leadership and experience in working within a mental health or equivalent community-based support role with lived experience.
The position may also carry a small caseload of participants, providing service navigation and linking participants to relevant therapy services.
* Personal experience of mental distress and accessing and navigating health services, including mental health services
* Certificate IV in Mental Health Peer Work, SHARC Peer Worker Training, Intentional Peer Support or willingness to complete
* 2+ year relevant work experience in a peer worker or leadership role
