Process Optimization Engineer
The role involves working on projects to introduce new hot forging capabilities into existing manufacturing processes, ensuring that these processes address all industrial constraints leading up to production launch and provide ongoing support for munitions production.
About the Role
You will be responsible for evaluating suitability, performance, and properties of materials for product development, including manufacturing processes. Experience in establishing and operating new manufacturing equipment, as well as test and inspection techniques is required.
Key Responsibilities
* Evaluate materials engineering, heat treatment of metallic components, and review welding specifications.
* Establish technical and manufacturing data packs.
* Conduct root cause analysis of product defects and implement corrective actions.
Requirements
Relevant tertiary qualifications in Metallurgy, Mechanical Engineering or related fields with experience in manufacturing processes are required. Forging experience is beneficial.
