Job Summary:
The Maintenance Clerk performs general maintenance and repairs for assigned equipment and facilities.
Duties/Responsibilities:
1. Inspects and identifies equipment or machines in need of repair.
2. Troubleshoots issues to determine necessary repairs and proactively recommends the necessary service and maintenance programs.
3. Plans repair work blueprints or equipment manual as needed.
4. Performs general repairs that do not require a specialized technician.
5. Performs routine maintenance on building systems.
6. Cleans and assists with upkeep of the facilities.
7. Orders supplies and materials needed for repairs and maintenance.
8. Installs new machines and relocates existing equipment.
9. Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
1. Ability to follow instructions but also work with minimal supervision.
2. Ability to use hand tools and power tools.
3. Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Education/Experience:
1. High School diploma or equivalent.
2. Related experience preferred.
Physical Requirements:
1. Prolonged periods standing and walking.
2. Must be physically able to climb ladders, bend, or crawl into awkward spaces.
3. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.
